Oscar Contender Trailer: 'An Education'
Really looking forward to this one
Yahoo has debuted the first trailer for Sony Pictures Classics' festival favorite An Education, a film we were just discussing yesterday with an emphasis on its star Carey Mulligan who plays Jenny, a teenage girl living in Britain in the early 1960s on the cusp of the strait-laced, post-war period and the free-spirited decade to come. Along with Mulligan the film stars Peter Sarsgaard, Alfred Molina, Emma Thompson, Dominic Cooper and Rosamund Pike.
An Education hits theaters on October 9, and I can't wait to see it. After watching the trailer browse our gallery of 33 images from the film and get the complete synopsis here.
Check out the trailer in high definition at Yahoo.

Looks decent. It seems like a while since Peter Sarsgaard has been in anything so that'll be cool. I don't think I've ever heard of Carey Mulligan but she looks pretty good too.
I'll check this out for sure.
dude it sounds like another one of those artsy movies that are wayyy out of the general population's taste
looks great put peter sarsgaard and alfred molina in the same movie and sparks will fly… this movie looks beautiful… plus the score was amazing… and i get a feeling mulligan should be cast as jackie O if ever there is a jackie O biopic… she looks perfect for that part… as does she here…

the rating here says otherwise brad, i know iimdb ratings are not legit, but they are more accurate than rottentomatoes most of the time.
@Scott:
i havent heard of her either, but i really like peter skarsgard in jarhead, and he has a cool last name. lol
@ddurden33: What rating are you talking about? It's PG-13, but I didn't mention that in the article.
@Brad Brevet: by rating i meant that it got a 7.2 score on imdb.com , check out the link, in above post, BTW i dont know how those ratings work, its already got about 117 votes, it can either go up or go down, 500 days of summer was rated 7.7 a few months ago, when it was only shown at special screenings, and now that more people have seen it, its on 8.2 with 933 votes.
CAREY MULIGAN! I just realised who she was, she stole the show in an epiosde of Doctor Who. She is brilliant.
This is easily my most anticipated film of the year. The Sundance buzz has had me excited since January!
Carey Mulligan looks great, and from what we can see of the production in the trailer, I would have never guessed it was made on such a low budget. High hopes.
@cocina: Dude! I hope you don't mind if the general population can think for themselves.
I saw An Education preview in London this week. Was pretty cool. Carey Mulligan is a star in the making. She gives off a Breakfast at Tiffanys-esque charm. That said, the ending to this film left a bad after taste… for me anyway.
