Trying to give a little more perspective...

Since it is Sunday and the news is always slow on the weekend I felt it was a good time to give regular readers a little note that I am finally blogging and talking about things other than movies, and by this I mean my life, politics, sports, books, girls and just a bunch or random stuff.

The 2008 election is obviously a good way for me to get started as was the recent Australian Open (tennis folks, that's tennis) the start of the college basketball season (go Tar Heels) and my new search for a condo in Seattle.

I hope to get the opinion of some of you on some of the topics I bring up because, as my slogan on the blog says, "There's more to life than movies… I think."

If you have a blog and would like me to check it out and possibly add it to the Blogroll please do send me a note.

I think with the redesign of RopeofSilicon and a new focus on movie news that actually stimulates the brain I have finally managed to get a group of readers with something to say. Hopefully as 2008 goes forward and hopefully there will be some (if not a lot) of opposing view points to shut me and put me in my place. After all, what is better than a good old fashioned argument?
