Oliver Platt Frosts Up 'Nixon'

He will also do a little nip tuckin'

I am a fan of Oliver Platt and will always remember his performance as Harry Rex Vonner in A Time To Kill and only pray Warner Bros. will give that an HD DVD release so it is no longer on a DVD with half the movie on one side and the other half on the other. Those things piss me off. However, this isn't about the past, but the past can dictate how nice it is to hear old Oliver got a nice spot in Ron Howard's Frost/Nixon and even more importantly a recurring role on FX's "Nip/Tuck."

In Frost/Nixon he will play Bob Zelnick, the executive editor of the Frost-Nixon interviews. The film is an adaptation of the hit Peter Morgan play based on a series of televised interviews that President Nixon granted David Frost in 1977 and that ended with a tacit admission of guilt regarding his role in the Watergate scandal. Frank Langella and Michael Sheen are reprising their Broadway roles as Nixon and Frost, respectively.

As for "Nip/Tuck," he will be featured in five episodes next season as Freddy Prune, the producer of a TV show on which Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) serve as consultants.
