Nolan to Release 'The Prisoner'
Follow-up to Batman 2 already set
Christopher Nolan will see his latest effort The Prestige hit theaters later this year, he will then begin work on the sequel to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and yet his future following that is already set as he will direct a feature adaptation of the classic TV series "The Prisoner" as he nears a final deal with Universal Pictures.
The series only lasted 17 episodes back in 1967 in which Patrick McGoohan played a government agent who resigns, is kidnapped and placed on an isolated island known as the Village. He's given a new identity — Number Six — and interacts with an island staff trying to get him to reveal why he resigned.
Janet and David Peoples are set to draft the script which is said to be a contemporized transformation of the original.
