No More 'Daredevil' for Affleck
SCI FI Wire talked with Ben Affleck about reprising his role as the costume wearing Daredevil for a possible Daredevil 2 and his response wasn't too promising, "I don't know about Daredevil 2…That may be too much work for me. I don't have any idea."
It is hard to believe that anyone would consider bring the franchise back to life after the reception the movie received whil in theaters. Affleck said that he would consider the role if longtime Hollywood friend Kevin Smith were to be involved and that he may be willing to come back for the reported spin-off Elektra which is set to star Jennifer Garner, "I would do some sort of cameo in Jen's movie—she's going to do Elektra—just because she's cool, and she's my friend. But I'm not banging down the door trying to get Daredevil II made."
He then made a comment which may not hold himself in FOX's favor, "You'll know when my career is really on the slide when I start resurrecting the franchise." I guess we will just have to wait and see if and when the Gigli star's career will be sliding, or has that slide already started?
