New comic adapdation in development at Uni.
While the Russian sensation Night Watch [clips here] has not yet hit the theaters domestically, director Timur Bekmambetov has obviously made a splash as Universal Pictures has brought him on to develop, with an eye to direct, the fantasy sci-fi epic The Red Star.
The film is based on Christian Gossett's award-winning comic book of the same name, which is described an epic war saga set in a reimagined Soviet Union where militarized sorcery and monolithic technology live side by side.
The studio is out to writers to adapt the project.
