Nicholson Joins 'The Departed'
Jack's back as a baddie.
Variety reports that Jack Nicholson is joining Martin Scorsese's cop thriller The Departed. Sloughing off the comedic shoes Nicholson will be back to finally add a little grit back to the big screen as he will play an Irish gang boss while the younger duo are opposing undercover cops.
The film already stars Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg and is based on the Infernal Affairs trilogy of Chinese-language gangster movies, the project is set in the midst of an intractable battle between the Hong Kong police and the triads that rule the area.
If all goes well we will see this movie by the end of the year.
