New 'Watchmen' Preview from 2008 Scream Awards
Plus peeks at 'Twilight' and 'Friday the 13th'
Last night at the 2008 Scream Awards (what the hell are those?), which aired on Spike TV, Warner Bros. debuted a new 90 second clip from Watchmen. The footage is featured below. There is a version with an introduction by director Zack Snyder and stars Malin Akerman, Carla Gugino and Jeffrey Dean Morgan over at YouTube, but the one below is strictly the clip. It still features the Smashing Pumpkins track, "The End Is the Beginning Is the End", but includes some new footage.
Watchmen hits theaters on March 6, 2009. There were also clips from Friday the 13th and Twilight, but a suitable version of the Twilight clip is not yet available other than this crappy version here.
You can, however, watch the Friday the 13th footage right here.
I should point out in the video below it appears there are a few unfinished FX shots, at least I am assuming the exploding tank is unfinished.

That smashing pumpkins song is so tied to the movie now, i think people will be disappointed when it doesn't show up in the movie
I hadn't heard 'The Beginning is the End is the Beginning' before I saw the 'Watchmen' trailer; but I've since downloaded it!
Anyway…
I could barely put down the graphic novel; and every new bit of footage I see just bolsters my confidence that watching 'Watchmen' will be an awesome experience.
