New 'Friday the 13th' is a Twisted Tale Too Twisty for Twists
Michael bay shoots from the hip and ... BANG!
Michael Bay had a chat with Entertainment Weekly and vomitted some news regarding the Friday the 13th remake directed by Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake helmer Marcus Nispel. Bay is producing the film through his Platinum Dunes house and he closely guarded the plotline, which I have heard rumors saying it actually takes place half at Camp Crystal Lake and the other half at the Amish Historic Roscoe Village in Ohio, but don't take my word on that.
One thing he did say was that the film would weave the storylines of the first two Friday the 13th films and the film was shot in Austin saying, "Where we also shot Texas Chainsaw. Austin gives you a lot of looks."
The most interesting piece is how he says there is a twist in the film, "You’re just not going to believe the first 12 minutes! It’s a twist in itself."
Yup, the twist has a twist, which mathematically negates itself and turns itself into standard storytelling confusing itself with originality ultimately boiling down to…

I'm actually really excited for this film. I know the reputation Michael Bay has, but, for whatever reason, I can't take my eyes off a damn thing he makes. "Pearl Harbor" was beautiful, "The Island" was an awesome and great-looking movie as well, and his Platinum Dunes films have all been great. And with the TCM remake director helming the F13 remake, I am even more excited for this film, as the TCM remake was absolutely, well, just brilliant (not that I've ever seen the original, but, still). Plus, I'm a huge fan of twists. Twists are (generally) wonderful.
"Yup, the twist has a twist, which mathematically negates itself and turns itself into standard storytelling confusing itself with originality…"
Haha, that's hilarious.
Even though the end of this article [Yup, the twist has a twist, which mathematically negates itself and turns itself into standard storytelling confusing itself with originality ultimately boiling down to... it's a remake.] is absolutely fucking hilarious…I have to agree with IsItThursdayYet's comment.
I cannot wait for this movie. If it is ANYWHERE as good as the TCM remake then it defititely has my ticket.
Is long as they don't make it one of those shitty ass PG-13 horror movies.
God…those are the downfall of modern cinema in reference to the horror genre.
I prefer the mindless retarded gore the Saw and any other torture porn series provides.
At least then it isn't pretty mindless cheerleaders running around half naked for 90 minutes.
God…they act like that doesn't get old.
Fast.
