New 'Aeon Flux' Pic!

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend this year's San Diego Comic Con but today RopeofSilicon received a treat of sorts thanks to the convention.

Along with the official announcement from Paramount Pictures that Comic-Con fans will get a first-ever look at Paramount Pictures'/Lakeshore Entertainment's sci-fi thriller Aeon Flux when Charlize Theron leads a panel at Comic-Con International, joined by co-star Marton Csokas, director Karyn Kusama, producers Gale Anne Hurd and David Gale, and Aeon Flux creator Peter Chung we have also received a new look at the film as a new pic has been added to our gallery.

As far as Comic-Con goes, for those of you that will be attending, the panel will be in Hall H on Saturday, July 16th; Paramount's Comic-Con presentation begins at 11:45 with a fifteen-minute appearance by Pablo Helman, visual effects supervisor of War of the Worlds, followed by a 45-minute Aeon Flux panel.

In this futuristic sci-fi thriller set 400 years in the future, Charlize Theron stars as Aeon Flux, the top underground operative at war with the totalitarian regime governing what appears to be a perfect society. But is this perfect life hiding a perfect lie? Aeon is on the front lines of a rebellion that will reveal a world of secrets. A startling vision of a future in flux from Karyn Kusama, director of the acclaimed "Girlfight," Aeon Flux is written by Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi, based upon characters created by Peter Chung in the pioneering MTV animated series.
