After all the bending and ominous goings on in the first trailer for The Last Exorcism Part II, this second trailer simply cut a bunch out and runs about a minute and 20 seconds shorter.

Set to hit theaters on March 1, this sequel picks up where the first film left off with Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) found terrified and alone in rural Louisiana. Back in the relative safety of New Orleans, Nell realizes that she can't remember entire portions of the previous months—only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean her last exorcism was just the beginning.

Judging by the crickets on this page I don't believe many people are clamoring for this one. I actually really liked the original up until the ending which felt cheap and tacked on, but now this one's looking to be just as clunky as those last five minutes.

God Brad what does it take to make a scary movie nowadays? Hell the last decade there some great ones (I agree on Devil's Backbone), but I think my favorite of the last couple years is Antichrist. The realism of the emotions on screen really got to me on a personal and emotional level, which I feel most of today's horror films shy away from. I wish I could say another "Texas Chainsaw" would fix the problem but look how that turned out...

Anyway I know you answered something about the horror genre a while back, but what do you feel makes a great horror film?
