New Trailer and Poster for 'Blood: The Last Vampire'
I'm not expecting much from this film
Later this year Samuel Goldwyn Films will be releasing the live-action adaptation Blood: The Last Vampire based on the 2000 anime hit of the same name. The story centers on Saya, a half-human, half-vampire samurai who preys on the demons who feast on human blood. Joining forces with the shadowy society known as the Council, Saya is dispatched to an American military base, where an intense series of swordfights leads her to the deadliest vampire of all. And now after 400 years, Saya's final hunt is about to begin.
If you have a Netflix account you can actually check the Hiroyuki Kitakubo animated film online right here. I watched it a little while back and considering it is only 48 minutes it isn't going to eat up a lot of your time. I wouldn't necessarily call it a masterpiece, but it is decent entertainment.
As for the live-action version as you can see from the trailer to the right and the poster below we have obtained some marketing material. You can check out a slightly larger version of the trailer right here and browse our entire gallery of 20 images from the film right here..
Blood: The Last Vampire stars Gianna Jun, Masiela Lusha, Allison Miller, Liam Cunningham, JJ Feild and Koyuki and is directed by Chris Nahon.

NOW THAT SHE'S HERE, THERE WILL BE BLOOD. You know the movie will be lame when it has a movie title in its movie blurb. I have a feeling it's just going to be another lame japanese import, over the top action with a confusing story line that will probably go nowhere. The only vampire movie I'm looking forward to is Chan-Wook Park's Thrist. Coming fresh off finishing his Vengeance trilogy (which ended VERY well), I think he could make it great. I didn't see his comedy romance though in between the two.
@Tim: ah.. we just wanna see jun jihyun that's all…she's hot no matter what…
Hopefully it's not gonna be another Dragonball Z, but it does look like the result might very well be just that.
