New Poster for Judd Apatow's 'This is 40'

I can't say I'm excited to see this one

I really have no interest or desire in seeing Judd Apatow's Knocked Up spin-off This is 40. Is anyone even talking about Knocked Up now that it's five years later?

This is 40 expands upon the story of Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) and as this new poster suggests, it's going to include all the insufferable moments of being a parent and will likely conclude with a scenario bringing the two together happily, despite the difficulties suffered along the way. Either that, or like Funny People, Apatow will introduce a quirky character (a la Eric Bana) and throw most of what was earned over the first 75% of the film out the windwow.

Either way, this one hits theaters on December 21.

I'm not sure i've even heard of This if 40...

I've heard just the title is "This is 40" If it was just "40" people will be dumb enough to think it is a prequel to "40 year old virgin" , lol

I still enjoy Knocked Up, even after five years, Brad. It remains one of the best comedies I've ever seen. The characters of Pete and Debbie remain one of the highlights of the 2007 film. Whether or not they can carry a film on their own is anyone's guess, but I remain optimistic.

    Thems the facts

Knocked Up - and 40 Year Old Virgin too, for that matter - is one of the best comedies of the past couple of decades. Funny People's self indulgence marred an otherwise good film but there's no denying the quality of Knocked Up. Maybe people aren't talking about it every day but outside of Best Picture winners and the like, how many movies from 5-10 years ago are continually discussed?
