New Full Length International Trailer for 'Scream 4'
Who is the killer this time?
A brand new international trailer for Scream 4 has arrived as Dimension Films hopes horror fans are nostalgic for the franchise that kicked off a series of teen whodunnit thrillers back in the late '90s.
They've managed to get Neve Campbell back and the recently split couple, David Arquette and Courteney Cox, are also back from the original cast and they are joined by the likes of Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Anthony Anderson, Adam Brody, Marley Shelton, Erik Knudsen, Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell.
Any chance this thing is any good? I really liked the original Scream, but the two sequels offered very little.

I enjoy all the Scream flicks (although the third is – so far – the weakest so far) and I actually thought Scream 2 was as good as the first.
I'll be seeing this opening weekend.
Hey, I just realised that's Mary McDonnell in the photo! Neat!
Eh. I only had a mild curiosity in this film to start with and then someone tipped me off to the plot and the killer's identity and I just lost all interest.
Why would anyone spoil the ending for someone else or even want to know? Of course that's going to cause you to lose interest.
Yeah but like I said I was barely interested to begin with. I have the first 3 Scream films on DVD and still didn't really care to see this one.
Plus, if what I've heard is even true, which it might not be, this one is gonna be pretty contrived to say the least.
And Scream 3 wasn't?
@Winchester, Well, yes…but I still liked it. I don't wanna defend Scream 3 cause I'll back myself into a corner. I guess if anything I just think 3 films in a franchise is the bar for not only retaining quality but my own personal interest as well.
I don't mind Scream 3 either, but it did get pretty far contrived in trying to make all the events seem like part of a grand plan. Then again, one can say that about the events of all three of them.
I'm prepared for the possibility of it again is all.
I can't wait for Scream 4. Even though Scream 3 was really bad, Scream 2 was good in my opinion and the original Scream is one of my favorites. I'll be there opening night!
Man I will be so upset if Gale dies
i luv this new trailer and i am already in love with hayden character, the scene when she names all the remakes jus put the icing on dha cake 4 me
Why does everyone say that Scream 3 is a bad film? I thought it was enjoyable enough…
It just felt more like a comedy than the first couple. It went too far in the self-reverential humour direction and cut back on the scares a little too much.
For me, that's where the problems with it lie. It's not bad (compared to many other slasher/horror flicks made since) but not the best either.
I suppose you're right about the tone of Scream 3. It's certainly the funniest now that you've mentioned it but i've always the thought the whole trilogy was very amusing on the whole. And to be honest i've never found the films to be scary!
I guess i just love the dialogue and characters and that's why i watch them. I don't expect Scream 4 to be scary either but i'll go just for the laughs :)
I'll leave it to the Paranormal Activity films to scare me witless!
It feels as though the series is falling into pop culture.
Hope one of the original survivors gets the axe, though. It's about time.
People that hated Scream 3 need to keep in mind that it's the only (including Scream 4) Scream that was written by Ehren Kruger, and not Kevin Williamson. So now that Kevin is back on the ball and Wes Craven is still directing; I feel as though Scream 4 will be terrific!
The best Scream movie was Scary Movie.
Trolling at it's finest
Scream 4, judging by the trailers, looks pretty good. To be honest I found "Scream" to be overrated, the weakest and least involved of the series. I actually would say "Scream 2" was the best installment. I would say "Scream 3" had some issues but it was very involved and revealed a lot. These are horror movies with good dialoque about movies (2 was about sequels, three was about trilogy's, 4 is about endless sequels, modern day audiences).
I've often wondered what a studio puts in the email when they request content to be removed. Do they threaten with a lawsuit? Or do they tell the site to cool their jets because the content will be officially released in a few days…
On an unrelated note, the screenplay for The Social Network is available for PDF download at its site. As are the scripts for The King's Speech and Blue Valentine at TWC's award site.
It's pretty much just a standard email asking the content be removed as it found it's way online but wasn't approved in some capacity or another. Nothing too serious as long as the website owner doesn't try and play hardball, which I have no desire to do.
As for the scripts, I've been linking to all of those and then some for some time. Just do a sarch above and you'll find them. The Social Network one is rather new, but I linked to it recently from my Twitter account.
I think if your a fan of the series, it will be a great ride. I, unlike the journalist above, love the sequels and found the series did a great job at delivering a well rounded story compared to many slasher films out there. I hope this film pokes fun at all of the remakes that have been hitting the theatres in the past ten years since Scream 3.
I've loved this series since seeing Scream out in the middle of nowhere while house sitting with some friends. Kevin's witty dialogue+ Wes Craven's direction you couldn't go wrong. I loved all three of the first trilogy though like most fans found three to be the weakest link. Though from test screening reviews this is supposed to bring Scream back to form even one reviewer said this was the best sequel to date and he/she said in their eye that it was close to better then the original.
Again I for one am looking forward to seeing where Craven and Kevin plan on taking this new trilogy and hope for this one to be a success so we do in fact get a Scream 5 and 6 as planed.
