National Lampoon Spoofing '300' and 'Gladiator'
Taking on 300, Gladiator, Troy and Braveheart
Variety has an article referring to National Lampoon as "revived," I don't know how you can refer to them as revived considering they haven't made anything but shit lately. That is unless you count movies starring Paris Hilton as quality. However, they apparently think the Scary Movie franchise, Date Movie or Epic Movie has killed the spoof ideas. Nope, this group of idiots is now going to go after the sword-and-sandle flicks with National Lampoon's 301: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus Wallace Leonidas….
Ha, ha, ha, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…. That is so fucking funny I am rolling in the aisles already! Please tell me there will be a scene where someone gets stabbed but just won't die and talks with a sword in his stomach! That would be the ultimate! Or maybe a scene that somehow makes fun of how the warriors in 300 weren't wearing much and were all ripped. Perhaps a long tracking shot that ends in a huge beer belly! Oh, the glory!
This piece of shit film will "poke fun" at 300, Troy, Gladiator and Braveheart. The genius behind the script is Jason Burinescu who also wrote "Jason was Here" on a bathroom stall in high school.
The story will center on Awesomest, an out-of-shape Spartan general who fails forward on a path to greatness.
"As we aggressively move into the inhouse film production business, 301 is the kind of project we get very excited about," Lampoon CEO Daniel Laikin said. "This will be a great complement to our library."
Ha, that doesn't say much about your library Laikin.
