MTV Looks to the TWILIGHT
MTV Films has teamed up with Maverick Films to acquire the film rights to the Stephanie Meyer's novel Twilight set to hit book shelves in September of 2005 reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The high school-set novel centers on Bella, who falls in love with a vampire. The new couple leads a rival vampire clan to pursue them and attempt to force her to decide if she, too, wishes to become one of the undead. The film is set to be distributed through Paramount Pictures.
