This is just a piece of fine, fine work. Someone has taken clips and trailers from this past weekend’s box-office bomb Rock of Ages and reworked it into a trailer as if it had been directed by David Lynch.
I’m not sure I was able to glean any plot that might be at the center of it all should it have turned out this way, but there certainly remains the idea that Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx is the antichrist when it comes to Catherine Zeta-Jones. The fire over her rant is perfect and Cruise’s subsequent Pookie monologue works wonders as we watch Julianne Hough spritz her hair with hairspray in slow motion with Angelo Badalamenti‘s score descending the image into a blurred madness.
