Domestic Box-Office Total
SYNOPSIS:
Mark Wexler's cinematic blend of biography and autobiography centered on his relationship with his father, legendary cinematographer and filmmaker Haskell Wexler whose career is a virtual catalogue of 20h century classics including collaborations with world-class filmmakers such as Elia Kazan, Milos Forman, George Lucas, and Francis Ford Coppola. Despite the fact that Mark has directed several documentaries and is an award-winning photojournalist, Haskell challenges his son's every choice about camera placement, lighting, and storytelling. Reminding Mark that he is the star of his movie, he also reveals the “starring” -- and challenging -- role he has played in Mark's life. In the end, filmmaking -- the very thing that separated them when Mark was growing up -- unites father and son.
