SYNOPSIS: The follow-up to the 2006 smash hit, Step Up, STEP UP 2 THE STREETS follows a rebellious street dancer Andie (Briana Evigan) as she embarks on a journey to fit in at the elite Maryland School of the Arts, where she meets Chase (Robert Hoffman), the school’s hottest dancer. Featuring the directorial debut of Jon M. Chu, STEP UP 2 THE STREETS reunites much of the production team behind the original film, including the cutting-edge hip-hop choreographer Jamal Sims, who is joined this time by choreographers Hi-Hat (“hip-hop’s high diva of dance”) and Dave Scott (“Stomp the Yard”).
Step Up 2 the Streets is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for language, some suggestive material and brief violence.
