CWith On the Road Walter Salles and his cast have definitely crafted a well-made film with strong performances and rich and beautiful cinematography, but the story is so tedious and each scene redundant of the last that it's hard to care one way or another about what is taking place on screen.

SYNOPSIS: An adaptation of Jack Keroac's "On the Road" in which Hedlund is set to play Dean Moriarty while Riley will play Kerouac's alter ego, Salvatore Paradise, two young men who journey across the North American landscape in pursuit of self-knowledge and experience.
