i think this movie is amazing. the time doesnt bother me like it does most people. I believe this movie has such fun and excitement going on you dont notice its been 2hrs of film… yes the part with the government are boring but it that doesnt offset the movie because you want to hate the government that is in charge of shutting the boat down. It gets you pumped up throughout the movie in my personal opinion.

Great film, wonderful story presented by a talented director, go see this film. You can connect to all the characters and the soundtrack is awesome. Must SEE both for the comedy and the take away.

is it just in Australia this movie was call "The Boat That Rocked" or the UK as well. Is "Priate Radio" the us name of this movie. it was out in Australia about 16 weeks ago.

A spot on review – Priate Radio did get a mauling from the press in the UK, but I enjoyed it as did friends. There's some great (very British) humour and the antagonism between Hoffman's The Count and Ifans' Gavin gives the film a real spark. There are a lot of subtle and not so subtle references to early Radio 1 DJs (BBC pop music station) and plenty of 60s music if you like that sort of thing.

Overall a perfectly entertaining feel good film but not a patch on "Love Actually"
