Hardy was great a Bronson. He put on over 40 lbs for this character. Before this movie, I had only seen him in Star Trek: Nemesis and RocknRolla (as Handsome Bob). But I agree with Paddytom, this movie was pretty boring. It was done with a new style, but ultimately the story fell flat. My grade: B-

He's been in prison his whole life pretty much… you try making an "exciting" story out of that. The story really doesn't matter in this film, it's more about us creeping into the twisted, violent and overall insane mind of Charlie Bronson as proven by the stage shows which is what I think he really wants… just to entertain an audience who are willing to listen to his story… and this film has given him that, for that I highly appreciate it!

Tom Hardy is absolutely awesome in this film as BRONSON – best thing about it. Although the film is probably the most relentlessly depressing movie I've seen since BAD LIEUTENANT. As an exercise in nihilistic filmmaking in deserves recognition but I defy anyone to actually enjoy this movie in the traditional sense. It is brutal!

tom hardy is incredible in "bronson" , that lacks a few psychology but it's a very good movie very "clockwork orange"

Disagree with you. Tom Hardy's acting is great but the story is quite dull. When compared to another real criminal film like 'Chopper' it's shortcomings become overly evident.
