More Looks at 'Blindness' and 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona'
Some real films to look forward to

Did you check out the first trailer for Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona? Wow, what a lovefest. Anyway, I just added three more pictures from the flick that will be showing at Cannes along with two more pictures from another Cannes feature, Fernando Meirelles's Blindness.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona stars Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Scarlett Johansson and Rebecca Hall in a story about two young Americans spending a summer in Spain who meet a flamboyant artist (Bardem) and his beautiful but insane ex-wife (Cruz). Vicky (Hall) is straight-laced and about to be married. Cristina (Johansson) is a sexually adventurous free spirit. When they all become amorously entangled, the results are both hilarious and harrowing.

Blindness is Meirelles's follow-up to The Constant Gardener, which was sort of a love it or hate it kind of film, but it received some buzz, but his City of God remains his main triumph. This new film stars a huge list of top names including Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Gael Garcia Bernal, Danny Glover and Alice Braga in an adaptation of Jose Saramago's novel about an outbreak of blindness that sweeps an unidentified town. Ruffalo plays a doctor who loses his sight along with everyone else in town, except his wife.
