Today is obviously a slow, post-Oscar daze kind of day and while most commenters are trying to find ways to comment on The Onion's tweet targeted at Quvenzhane Wallis or the misogyny of Seth MacFarlane as Oscar host, I'm going to keep things focused on Jennifer Lawrence, who clearly stole the action behind-the-scenes.
I already showed you what happened when Jack Nicholson interrupted one of Lawrence's interviews along with the middle finger she gave the press, but below you get a moment I was going to comment on during last night's live blog, but I wasn't sure if I was right.
After Lawrence's acceptance speech I turned to those that were in the room and asked, "Did she not thank Harvey Weinstein? Did she thank him every step of the way and then not at the Oscars?" No one in the room could confirm this so I didn't say anything. Turns out, she didn't, but she rectified the situation behind the scenes as you'll see in the video below.

Sounds like everyone that has to deal with stupid questions from the press should do a shot ahead of time. She was funny and didn't respond to lame questions with lame answers. If only more actors, athletes, and politicians would do the same.....

She's got charisma for days. Certainly won't be her last Oscar win, as I think she'll be around for a long time to come.
I hope Cooper and Lawrence are nominated every year. They're both charismatic, funny and just overall awesome. They're great. Hopefully they're the new Hollywood A-Listers we've been waiting for.

I sincerely hope that, if he keeps choosing roles the way he is, Cooper will one day take home his own golden statue.
I frankly felt his performance in Silver Linings was superior to Day-Lewis's in Lincoln, though I know I'm in the minority there. Day-Lewis certainly embodied Lincoln, and I commend him greatly for his work -- I'd have placed him second on my ballot -- but Cooper made Pat a character of his own.
I agree. I would have put DDL second behind Cooper. But the Academy was more than likely swayed by his past success and even out of respect for his character off screen.
I think once cooper is finished with the Hangover series, hie will hopefully move on to more dramatic, complex characters and films.
I also thought Cooper did it best. But I'm in the minority who wasn't thrilled at all about DDL's caricature performance. Watching those montages, it just showed how much Hugh and Brad blew DDL out of the water.
I am torn between Hugh and Brad though. Hugh's performance was so intense, you could see the veins pop out of his head. Brad was excellent during those freakouts though. He really embodied that character.
In any case, I don't think DDL was the deserving winner. But you can't defeat hype and momentum
Cooper was an incredibly close second to DDL, I feel. The major reason I don't buy into all this "Lewis was head and shoulders above his competition" international media hype.
Back to topic, Jen has an infectious personality. Bring on the Hunger Games sequel trailers already. I hope they put "Starring Academy Award Winner Jennifer Lawrence" in them.
Yes, Jen has a magnetic personality. I think this garners her a lot of respect in an odd sort of way. It's like she doesnt play the hollywood game of saying the "pc" thing. It is refreshing and a great example for her peers. Maybe a small part of the reason she received a stand ovation from some of her front row peers...
I thought it was very sweet of Lawrence to wish fellow nominee Emmanuelle Riva happy birthday during her acceptance speech. Riva turned 86 on Oscar day.
You know I found Lawrence to be so wooden on SNL, but I'm surprised now because she obviously has some comedic chops. Hilarious and beautiful...lethal combo.
I wonder whether on SNL, where she did seem nervous, had to with acting "live" with scripted sciences. Because in person when she speaks she is just naturally hilarious.
