'Monsters, Inc. 2' Bumps Up Two Weeks Ahead of 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn'
Now shame in avoiding the Twilight train
After writing up my post announcing Summit had set a November 16, 2012 release for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 readers began posting in the comments that meant it would be going head-to-head with Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc. 2. I hung my head in shame. I should have revealed that information in my article and I immediately wrote myself a note, "When writing up release date articles be sure and look at what other films release on or around that date." It is now burned in my memory.
However, it would seem Pixar was well aware of the scheduling conflict as Box Office Mojo reports they have moved the film up two weeks to avoid making moviegoers choose. Monsters, Inc. 2 will now hit theaters on November 2, 2012, a date they currently have all to themselves. That date previously belonged to DreamWorks Animation's The Guardians featuring the voice of Leonardo DiCaprio, but that film recently moved to November 21, 2012.
The Monsters, Inc. 2 move is a smart one. Any Twilight film should be left to its own devices and everyone else should just stay away.

in other words avoid the twilight like plague :P
The Blind Side did open against the second Twilight, and went on to make nearly as much money as it. Just thought I'd point that out.
I thought the same.
Still, both are mainstream movies. The Blind Side isn't (it went on to make $250 million because of word of mouth, not because of hype). Why putting them together if there's a spot open?
The last James Bond movie lost a lot of its audience when the first Twilight opened.
Not globally it didn't.
Quantum of Solace grossed around $585 million.
The first Twilight grossed under $400 million
and to add to the whole blind side thing… also got an academy award
well, i would hate to see Monsters Inc. 2 flop. the blind side was a shocker that it did as good as it did.
whoa… Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn part 2… Cool…

awesome I can't wait!!!
I hope you were being sarcastic
Disney reportedly moved the released date hours before the Twilight movie was scheduled
I defenitly don't think that's why Pixar changed the date. This Pixer were talking about. They make some of the biggest movies EVER! And they always win awards. So why would they be scared. Breaking Dawn Part 2 could suck for all we know. The book is very different from the rest. Monsters Inc on the other hand will be good. If it was it would have been like 8 years since the last one. Summit isjust copyingoff of Harry Potter with the 2 parts plus it's kinda stupid when Summit has way less money to spend the Warner Bros.
But Brad who is directing Monster Inc 2 .Till now I have only heard that the movie is in development and I wanna know who is attached to direct this movie.Pete Docter isn't making this then who is it then.
its pete docter, no worries
