Aja's really promoting this movie through this jaw-ripping scene! I'm a big fan of what Aja does to horror, he does a really good job of creating suspense but this movie doesn't look too promising to me, but I have faith so I'm hoping it's just bad trailers.
Yeah, it's a hard one to judge and I really like Aja's style. However, if you don't mind spoiling the jaw ripping scene watch that featurette in the article. It actually looks like the premise may be pretty cool considering Amy Smart's reflection stays in the mirror and then kills her in the bathtub as the reflection harms itself, but in turn harms the actual person.
However, I did just get a screening invite and it is for 8 PM the night before the film releases, typically not a good sign, but since it is Fox and considering they are willing to show it, I am going to remain skeptically optimistic and hope it's a genre film that will satisfy the niche. I really would like to have another horror film to enjoy.
Great movie, just watched it last night.
WHAT? WHOA! WHOA! WHOOAAA! This is just based on a scene from the movie,"Mirrors!" This procedure is not really possible, unless you have really strong arms. Oh my peas, I didn't know, or expect, that this whole terror would be actually shown on screen! This is just really hair-raising and frightening.
