Miley Cyrus Wants Racy Nudie Role?
Ewwwww, this makes me feel all kinds of disgusting
I am sure there are some child actors that have made the transformation from child star to adult star with relative ease. However, none of them are coming to mind at the moment and I still have echoes of Christian Bale from The Dark Knight interviews telling me, "I would definitely try and convince anyone in my family and near to me not to do so at such a young age." He is referring to a role he played in Stephen Spielberg's Empire of the Sun at the age of 13. Well, at the age of 11 Miley Cyrus had a role in Tim Burton's Big Fish and by the age of 14 she was Hannah Montana. Since then she has posed in racy photos for Vanity Fair and been seen online in photos many consider unbecoming for a girl her age. She is now 15-years-old and it seems she may be out to bare all before the tabloid photogs even have a chance to catch the much sought after nip slip.
The never-ending attention paparazzi and the shit shows such as "Inside Edition", "Entertainment Tonight" and "Extra" give to these young starlets has reached an insane level. It is amazing to me that I can even read an article about a girl who is currently 15-years-old eyeing a role in a film that will reportedly require nudity.
The film (if it gets made) would be based on Allison Burnett's new novel and a source tells MSNBC the story is about "a lovable, lost suburban girl who descends into a life of reckless partying and promiscuity." The same source says, "There would definitely be nude scenes."
Yay! Great! This is exactly what we need. Now, instead of having to try and catch pedophiles in the act at home on their computer we can just round up the lowlifes that buy tickets to Miley Cyrusly Nude XXX.
Oh, what's that? You assume they won't actually shoot the film until Cyrus is 18. Oh, well that makes it better, since 18 is the arbitrarily determined age in which a 55-year-old man can legally have consensual sex with an 18-year-old girl. Perfect, now we can just sell the peds tickets and collect the box-office dough. Win-win.
This isn't a new phenomenon of course, it simply is the youngest girl I have ever seen at the center of such a shit storm. If we wanted to skew older we find Megan Fox, a girl I cannot quite figure out for the life of me (what was the reason behind all those tats?), recently came out and said, "I would love to do a movie naked – it would be beautiful. No one dares make that kind of film today. They did it in the 1930s in an arty way, so why not now?" Nudity in an "arty" way? What does that mean? Like with wheat fields and clay huts with pencils and paint brushes on the floor? Maybe an easel?
Fox is the stunner that starred in Michael Bay's Transformers and has since landed roles in How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, Whore, Jennifer's Body and is currently shooting Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. At the age of 22, Fox is old enough to make her own decisions, but the way this type of thing spreads around the Net like wildfire continues to have me believing that it would just continue to feed the crude and lascivious behavior that has started to run amuck. And don't tell me for a second Fox is some chick that is completely comfortable with her nudity, those semi-nude pics of her from Jennifer's Body that were making the rounds were quickly pegged by PR reps, supposedly at Fox's rep's request, to be removed due to the nature of their content.
Next you have 18-year-old Hayden Panettiere slutting it up with her "sex me" eyes in her music video, not to mention the pin-up girl photos she has running around out there from when she was 17. Ugh, it makes me sick to even think what pervs may even be looking at that stuff.
I just wonder, am I the only one that sees anything wrong with this whole Miley Cyrus situation? Is it prudish to think it is disgusting to even think about a 15-year-old girl in a film requiring nudity?

What i find weird is that her dads letting her do this.Man …. if i had a 15year old daughter that does exactly what she does …id go insane, beause i would kno there are peds out there looking at my daughter that would be my age. Its very disgusting and its sad. It also shows her viewers who are between the ages of 8-15 maybe that this is ok and that its acceptable ..soon there will be little 8 year old stars that wanna do what miley cyrus does . God save us from this madness

Upon hearing of a girl being nude, is ALL you can think of pedophiles and rape and whatever? Do you really think it's healthy to ban nudity and remind everyone of how perversion is everywhere and how sick everyone is?
So movies with nude children CANNOT be made anymore, even if they display a true story, prove to not mistreat their child actors, and just want to create a realistic feeling? Also, do you think banning nudity, if possible maybe even from the human mind itself, would make the society more healthy? Do rapists become rapists because they saw too many people of the other gender naked? That's nonsense, and you know it.
A nude scene is something perfectly normal, implications like those I just read turn things the sick way. Of course there is a sexual implication in this stuff, but this happened when she SAID things, not because of the actual movie.
BTW, in Europe, you can see nude children of all ages in quite a few older movies, and I haven't seen any pedophile hordes obsessing over it.
Just saying: it's nice if you care for the young actresses, however please don't overdo it. The evil here is something in the psyche, not on the screen. In other countries, showing the hair or feet might be considered as evil as a nude scene here.
This is not overdoing it and it is more than caring about one actress. Perhaps I have a different look at it considering I run a website, but you don't see the search terms or the bump in traffic, but this article is already more popular than anything else I wrote today and it isn't because of my opinion it's because of the words "nudie" and "Miley Cyrus" in the headline.
The difference between a film with nudity in it and a film with the potential nudity of Miley Cyrus in it is that the Cyrus nudity will be the conversation, not the nudity. People are drawn to it for whatever reason. It actually becomes a big deal on its own. When you say "a nude scene is something perfectly normal" you are right, but you aren't looking at the big picture, you are simply thinking as a level headed individual, but you forget there aren't a lot of people out there like you. The majority of society is insane. :)
After seeing the behavior and actions of various child stars, I wonder how people can be surprised when they end up drunk, drugged up, and nuts. The entertainment industry eats people alive. It's hard enough on adults, but kids (15 is still a child, hell we all have bottles of scotch older than that) end up really screwed up.
The majority may be insane, in respect to the fact that there is a star effect in the first place. It seems like females get well-known for just looking good, building up some kind of "dream girl" image. The same thing exists the other way around, like with those hundreds of underaged Tokio Hotel fangirls who openly say they want sex with band members. (No, I'm NOT joking!)
True, this is insane. And it's what the media can do to children, both actors and audience. The problem is the madness in both fans and "stars" when the star effect is concerned.
But all this has little to do with nudity. She may get extra attention and another topic about her for running around naked on screen. Still, the discussion is avoiding the actual problem. Clothes don't protect from insanity.
Those people coming here from google are just searching for the currently most "interesting" thing related. If sexy pictures were banned, they'd be searching for that instead. Say there was a nude pic of her up there instead of the current one, but NOT made in a professional, "sexy" pose. I'm not really sure whether there would be greater damage done than with the current image. There'd probably be a bigger flood of spamming US citizens here. And people might drop some comments to the girl. But I can't really confirm her life will get worse from that. In fact, I think the image up there is worse than a random happy-looking nude picture, because it clearly has sexual implications. (and what's with the makeup? srsly.) This is what draws attention and feels unnatural.
BTW: Why do people worry about children acting in movies with nudity, but hardly anyone complains about all the children acting in war movies? I sense inconsistent behavior. :P
I have to wonder about the long term effects of acting on the young mind. Here you have a child who has not yet fully developed their own personality, and they spend a great deal of their developmental years wearing any number of other personalities.
In fact, looking at what adult hollywood stars are like, I think most of them have weak personalities as well. That's probably why they got into acting, so they could pretend to be somebody besides themselves. A lot of actors are stable people, those are the ones who you don't see in the tabloids, hollywood news shows, etc, because they never do anything stupid. They do their jobs, and at the end of the day, they are a normal person again. The weak individuals eventually start believing that what happens in movies can also happen in real life. I'm reminded of the trailer I saw the other day for "Bolt". They don't know that they aren't the characters that they portray. So, they end up being really messed up all the time.
Fangirls wanting to have sex with Bill Kraulitz? Wouldn't that be a lesbian relationship? *Shudder* Why do I even know who any of these people are? Damn you internet!
Actually, I think the problem is the massive amount of attention.
I've been on TV just once, in some pointless show, and the effect was unbelievable. Suddenly, everyone knew me – on streets, on public transport, I got contacted by people I hadn't seen since grade 4, and even girls from the net who had never seen me in RL. However, for me all that faded fast. Within 2 weeks or so, people forgot about me.
Famous people get that, no matter what they did the last weeks. Always. They are important, special, whether they currently deserve it or not. My guess is: that's bad for the character, and the reason most dictators go insane. ;) So acting an important role is often trading sanity for money. And I guess that's even more true for children.
BTW, sorry for the topic drift, but I think we're closer on the real problem now. *g*
What has Miley done with her life? At first she was a good little girl who didn't do anything wrong! And everyone says that it's a "stage in her life" NO! I'm 20! I went through being 15! And I never took photos like that! And the only reason she's doing it is to get back together with Nick Jonas! I did like Miley until she screwed up her damn life! I took my little sister to her concert and Miley was very good. So what I have to ask is: Why Miley? Why do you take those photos?!?!?!

Now that I think of it, Miley's photo spread is pretty tame compared to the stuff that your average 15 year old has posted on their MySpace page. At least her dad knew about the shoot. Do you know what your daughter is posting on the internet? Ah, well, just another product of this twisted world. Offtopic, but probably more relavant: Dark Knight was awesome! :D

Not that I would ever want to compare Miley Cirus to her but lets not forget how young Brit was when she bagan to finally branch out. Yes she hung on to her fake virginity for as long as possible, but lets face it just by demeaner alone you can see how much more innocent Miley is in comparison to Brit. Lets face it, she may not make all of the right choices, but I feel that she will be one of the ones to actually make it in this industry and I don't mean being successful. I mean being truthful and honest. I don't think she has screwed up her life by no means! If it was such a bad choice, then why didn't her father and grandmother stop the whole thing. Lets not forget to a 15 year old anything sounds like the right choice until someone older and wiser tried to help you rationalize what you are doing…
Because her father and grandmother obviously aren't the brighhtest bulbs in the box either. Just because her elders are stupid doesn't justify what is happening with her, they are the problem.
In that VF photo above, Miley was wrapped in a blanket, and I say that she was decent!
Miley should do fine shooting nude as she's a professional actress! But, she should wait until she reaches 18!
