Mike Myers Cast in Tarantino's 'Inglorious Bastards'
Should I be excited or mortified?
Well, the casting has been anything but expected when it comes to Quentin Tarantino's next outing Inglorious Bastards and it doesn't look like that is going to change as Mike Myers has joined the cast. Yup, the Mike Myers that starred in Austin Powers 1, 2 and 3 and the same man that went on to make The Love Guru. Even though Tarantino.info reports he will have a "SMALL role" in the film it doesn't get me too excited.
If Tarantino is casting Myers for a tongue-in-cheek bit cameo it seems it would be more productive to cast an unknown so as not to distract from the humor. I don't know, I can't judge and it seems I really need to read this script.
Myers joins the cast headlined by Brad Pitt and also starring Eli Roth, B.J. Novak, Nastassja Kinski, Simon Pegg and David Krumholtz.
Stay tuned as I am sure more info on this one will develop soon.

I think this is pretty cool. It could be fun to see Mike Myers in a film thats so far away from his usual work. And we have Simon Pegg and Brad Pitt. Now lets just hope Leonardo DiCaprio also joins. That would be amazing.
When it comes to casting, I always give the benefit of doubt to Tarantino. The man is a master caster.
I'm willing to accept this if it's true, but are we sure it's official? Maybe this will turn out to be like when we thought Radiohead was doing the Choke score on Tuesday…
Excited or mortified? The second one for me, thanks…yikes.
I would tend to believe this site based on their coverage in the past. I saw that Radiohead thing, but since the film was already completed and had been screened SEVERAL times (I saw it about 2 months ago) I didn't think they were going to go back and re-score it.
Strange casting. I had hoped he would cast Di Caprio, any chance of that happening, or did he officially reject?
Last word was the DiCaprio is officially not involved.
