Mickey Rourke Signs as Russian Villain in 'Iron Man 2'

Sounds like they got the money worked out
Nikki Finke is reporting Mickey Rourke has officially signed on to star in Iron Man 2 as the Russian villain Crimson Dynamo, the Russian equivalent to Tony Stark's Iron Man.
Rourke was said to have dropped out over pay when word hit the web the Oscar-nominated actor had been offered a measly $250,000 for the role. Finke says Rourke's agent David Unger got the quote up to a "significant" level.
Iron Man 2 production is underway as evident from the image I showed you yesterday and the film is set for a May 7, 2010 release.

This now is officially a movie to get excited about!
Very nice. I don't love Scarlett joining the cast (nothing but eye candy) but I do love Rourke getting on board. He's a great actor when you let him act his way and the part sounds perfect for him.
THANK YOU! i do not know if this is going to be redemption enough for putting Scarlotte in the film but Rourke is awesome and deserves this role. I am still excited about this film!
With loseing blunt atleast we now have rourke to look forward to :)
Mickey Rourke will be a great addition to the Iron Man crew; he's a really talented actor despite all the other drama
