Mekhi Phifer Directing 'Softer Way'
Actor making his directorial debut.
Variety announced today that Mekhi Phifer of "ER" and Dawn of the Dead fame will be making his directorial debut on the indie comedy Easier, Softer Way, which has just been acquired by Sony.
The film is being produced by Phifer, will begin filming in L.A. in July and follows two hapless pot heads involved in a scheme to rip off a mysterious character called Mr. Big after the duo sours on rehab.
Phifer will also be starring in the film along with Maura Tierney, Scott Grimes, John C. McGinley, Ronnie Warner, Terry Crews and Mo Collins.
