Megan Fox Appears as Mickey Rourke's Angel
I guess it's better than casting Paris Hilton
Steven Zeitchik at the Risky Biz Blog hosted by "The Hollywood Reporter" seems to be getting a couple of hand outs from the trade as Zeitchik has landed his second scoop in a row following yesterday's "Atlas Shrugged" story. Today he brings word Megan Fox (Transformers) is attached to play an angel opposite Mickey Rourke in Passion Plays, an indie drama that Mitch Glazer is writing and directing.
In the film Rourke will play a down-on-his-heels trumpet player and Fox will play an angel in 1950's Los Angeles, with Rourke finding redemption in Fox after he attempts to save her from a gangster. Those familiar with the project describe it as a dramatic but heartwarming tale. Fox's character is described, in part, as as a slender beauty with wings who is part of a carnival.
Glazer is making his directorial debut with the feature after penning such films as the Al Pacino and Colin Farrell feature The Recruit and the Bill Murray holiday comedy Scrooged.
As for Fox, she has Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Jennifer's Body coming out later this year and has already lined up roles in Jonah Hex and Fathom in the coming years.
Mickey Rourke has been busy lining up projects following his comeback performance in The Wrestler including a villainous role in Iron Man 2, Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables, 13 (a remake of 13 Tzameti) and the Walter Hill action pic St. Vincent.

She'll probably end up creeped out by Mickey Rourke by the end of all this. He seems to like to hit on younger women a lot.
