McShane Takes on Zellweger's 'Case 39'
'Deadwood' star joins another flick
Wow, Ian McShane is going to be a busy boy as he has now signed on to star in Case 39 opposite Rene Zellweger for Paramount Pictures.
Christian Alvart is directing the pic which was penned by Ray Wright. The story centers on a social worker (Zellweger) who saves an abused girl from her parents but later discovers things are not as they seem. McShane plays the cop who helps Zellweger's character investigate the case.
Shooting is scheduled to start this summer in Vancouver.
This announcement comes on the heels of yesterday's news that McShane has also joined the voice cast of two animated features in Coraline for Focus Features and Shrek the Third for DreamWorks Animation.
