Matt Dillon is 'Armored' for Screen Gems
New heist thriller sounds promising
After Nimrod Antal was able to turn the generic premise of Vacancy into a cool little thriller I am anxious to see what he comes up with next and the premise for Armored doesn't sound all that bad.
Antal has brought on Matt Dillon and Columbus Short to star in the heist flick in which an armored car guard (Dillon) is persuaded by his veteran cohorts to empty the truck of its $10 million.
Dillon is also working on another heist project for Screen Gems called Bone Deep in which he plays a Manhattan detective who is pit against a young crew that specializes in elaborate heists. You can catch Columbus Short in the upcoming release This Christmas.
Filming on Armored is expected to begin later this year.
