Marvel is holding its panel at Comic Con as I type and at the same time they have announced online several of their upcoming films including the long rumored Guardians of the Galaxy and the Edgar Wright-helmed Ant-Man. Of the two Guardians of the Galaxy is the only one with a release date, that being August 1, 2014 and just above you're seeing the first piece of concept art for the film.
I know nothing of these Guardians, but apparently the team you see above includes characters named Star-Lord, Drax the Destroyer, Groot, Rocket Racoon and Gamorra. The art was done by Charlie Wen. Give it a click for a larger look.
As of now details on what exactly will take place in Guardians of the Galaxy is unknown, but it will reportedly be set in the future and feature with the team fighting an evil race called the Badoom, and in the process they would supposedly travel back in time and cross paths with some of the Avengers team. Speculation says that Thanos, the character seen in the post-credits sequence following The Avengers would be in the film and Guardians of the Galaxy would serve as a precursor to The Avengers 2.
As for the Ant-Man feature, we talked about that back in early July when it was revealed Marvel contracted Wright to film a reel of footage that was used to test out the potential look and tone of his movie, as well as to decide how convincing Ant-Man's powers look onscreen. Apparently the studio was convinced, the film, however, does not have a release date, only the logo you see to the right.
And finally, the titles for the Thor and Captain America sequels. Thor 2 will be officially titled Thor: The Dark World and will hit theaters on November 8, 2013 and Captain America 2 will go by Captain America: The Winter Soldier which will be released on April 4, 2014.
Title treatments for both films along with the treatments for Guardians of the Galaxy and Iron Man 3 were also released and I've included those directly below.

Marvel looking to kill it yet again. Nice.
The Winter Soldier, eh? They didn't take much time to get to that one. Should get fans excited.
Actually, I'm excited for all of these... It's actually a pretty diverse line up, with just enough quirkiness opportunities there. Seeing Groot and Rocket Raccoon in live action alone would be a trip.
Looking forward to Ant-Man and the Winter Soldier storyline has potential. I'm not so sure about Guardians of the Galaxy.. hopefully they learned from Green Lantern.
I'm still a little bitter about Iron Man 2 so my expectations are down for the third one.
No idea what the new Thor will be about.
I don't know anything about Ant Man or Guardians of the Galaxy, but I'm looking forward to them. Have always found all the Marvel films at least entertaining.
Rocket Raccoon!? seriously?
Agree. This has to be computer animated. I can't see a guy in a raccoon suit running around.
Thor 2 in November 2013, looks like Marvel is taking a page out of the Twilight/Potter playbook. Something tells me it isn't going to do nearly as well.
Interesting that they are using the present day Guardians of the Galaxy from current books in a storyline taken from the 80s Guardians of the Galaxy team from the future, which was completely different.
*SPOILER*
Drax was created to kill Thanos, who is always screwing around with these guys, not so much the avengers. Also, Rocket Raccoon in a movie, lol.
Do you think that now with The Avengers being the standard in movie making for these kinds of flicks, will other directors try to mimic them in these sequels. Because Captain America didn't do well and personally I didn't enjoy it. Thor was a normal movie, nothing awesome about it but it wasn't terrible. Guardians of the Galaxy has a neat concept art to it but are they going to be able to sell the characters to the audience. Who is gonna believe a raccoon helps save the galaxy?
The Guardians are in space so the concept of time is relative, they are technically from the future, or the past. Depending on where you are. The point is, out there in space I can believe in a talking, walking Racoon and a tree who can do the same. This concept art looks amazing. This is Marvel studios taking one of their C list properties and showing DC how its done. Watch this movie quintuple what "Green Lantern" made. Just imagine if Marvel had all their properties back. I am so mad at Fox having X-men and Sony having Spiderman. Marvel Studios is never going to see them again unless they change the laws. So they will have to make big hits out of their B, C and D list properties, which I think they can because it is basically starting from a blank slate and reinventing these characters or making them cooler. Think of all the kids that are going to grow up with these movies. I feel sorry for DC, so far that can't even get Superman right. I do hope that Man of Steel movie is kickass because there is no reason for the titular character of Action Comics not to be able to star in an action film the likes of the Avengers. So good luck DC you are getting your ass handed to you repeatedly now. Enjoy Nolan's last.
