This tidbit actually doesn&#039;t surprise me, because not long after The New World, Malick&#039;s last feature, was released, there were rumors that the storyline for his next project would have an epic, even mythic scale to it.  Look up  &quot;Tree of Life&quot; (the term, not the film title) in Wikipedia, and that may give some clues as to what Malick is going for here.</description>
