Madsen Has Shue's 'Number'
A replacement is picked.
While there was no reason given as to why the moves was made, Variety reports that Virginia Madsen will be replacing Elisabeth Shue in the upcoming Jim Carrey flick The Number 23 for New Line Cinema and director Joel Schumacher.
The thriller finds Carrey portraying a dog catcher who becomes obsessed with a book that seems to be about his life but ends with a murder, with the number 23 woven through the plot.
The film, "by coincidence", will begin filming on January 23 with Danny Huston and Rhona Mitra also set to star.
