'Lost Boys 3' Gets a Writer as the Frog Brothers Will Reunite
Feldman and Newlander set to return to the vampire franchise
I still have Lost Boys: The Tribe resting in my Netflix Instant Queue and now Bloody-Disgusting is saying Lost Boys 3 has a writer and Corey Feldman has come on to executive produce and will also return once again as Edgar Frog. On top of that Moviehole reports Jamison Newlander has also been cast and will return as Alan Frog. Newlander had been cast in The Tribe, but his scenes were apparently cut which means this will mark the official Frog brothers reunion.
Evan Charnov ("Fearless") has been hired to write the new film for the Warner Premiere direct-to-DVD feature.
Bloody-Disgusting adds Corey Haim's return as Sam Emerson "is highly, highly unlikely at this point in time" and the new film will focus on Feldman's character.

Huh? what? I never even noticed there was a sequel until this article.
what a waste of money! Don't bother with the lost boys:tribe! it sucked!
I'll watch it if they bring in Laddie ( Chance, sorry, I cant remember your last name! Forgive?) and Star (Jami Gertz) . I'm a firm believer that if your gonna be doing a sequal, bring in the orginal catalysts of the original movie, book, ect,. If Michael hadn't seen Star, he would have been food for the boys someday, and if Star hadn't had to take care of Laddie, the whole reason she was trying to get out of the Lost boys, then she would have ignored Michael completely. Hence why they should be in it too. Though this is just my opinion. No jumping on my back like an angry monkey about it.
OK, but for the record, your babbling moron with too much time on your hands!
This is great!
If they don't want Haim to be involved, they could just say that Edgar killed Sam after the mid-credit scene in The Tribe.
No one needs Haim anyway. The Tribe would have been unbearable if he had been there all the way through.
corey haim has to come back because on lost boys the tribe in the end you showed him and corey feldman getting ready to attack each other. he just has to in it to finish the second movie i want more of the 2 corey's .
i think that the next movie will suck b/c they dont have cory haims!!!the first movies was about cory and his brother!!And look how BIG the moive was!NOw they are going to a 3 movie about WHAT!!!!the other corys "he sucks so bad i had to turn the 2 movie off!i m not wasting my money on the 3 movie!!
I have to admit it Cory Haim is not in the third film I wont watch it. The best part of the second film was the last two minutes with the two corey's!!! I actually thought they would really be able to pull off a third film with that ending. Although I was not happy with the second one I thought the third one was gonna kick ass but now I have my doubts!! :( PLEASE bring Haim back.
Okay, im confused……in the comic book alan frog gets turned into a vampire by the "black widow johnson", grandpa has been a half vampire the whole time and gets killed, david returns from the dead looking for michael and starr, the two emerson kids in the second one are michael and stars children, leddy disappears, shawn gets turned in to a vampire during the first movie (im taking it that way), and etc…..
so who the hell turns sam into a vampire and when did all that happen? was it alan frog? What happened to michael and star? did they really die and how did they die? etc….someone please fill in the gaps =-)
also, in the second movie (even in the alternate ending) same and edgar must have gotten into a tift or had something happen with their friendship cuz edgars says "so what? im i suppose to just forget what happened?" and sam says "all is forgiven!" what the hell about that?
It sickens me that The Tribe was even considered a sequel to The Lost Boys. Don't get me wrong….it was ok..considering but it was more like Lost Boy than Boys. Feldman was all that linked the two movies to one another. And he had lost everyone and was even more antisocial.
But I seen hope for the third when Haim shows up in the deleted and alternate scenes. If that were the groundwork for The Thirst we would have both Coreys and Newlander. Maybe Jason and Jamie too.
Instead… Haim was cast aside in #2 because of his addiction. Lifelong friend was resurrectin his career that Haim helped create. Didn't work without him the first time Feldman tried it. And now Haim is dead from an od and #3 is to release at any time. I can't help but to wonder if there is a connection
