Lion's Gate Catches RIPLEY
According to Variety Lions Gate Intl. has just acquired the international sales rights to Mr. Ripley's Return. A Cinerenta thriller based on Patricia Highsmith's novel "Ripley Under Ground" and adapted by William Blake Herron, stars Barry Pepper, Alan Cumming, Jacinda Barrett, Claire Forlani, Tom Wilkinson, Ian Hart and Willem Dafoe. Pic tells the story of the infamous Ripley (Pepper) who conceals the death of a trendy young artist in order to profit from the value of his works, and in the midst of the scam, falls under the spell of a Parisian heiress (Barrett).
