Liman Jumps to Helm 'Jumper'
New trilogy in the works.
It appears a new trilogy is in the works as Doug Liman will direct Jumper, a film adaptation of the Steven Gould novel.
The original script by David Goyer is getting a rewrite by Fight Club scripter Jim Uhls.
Apparently the idea is to turn the story into a trilogy as it centers on a teenager who discovers he can teleport from one place to another. The 17-year-old first learns that he can jump when he escapes his abusive father.
The film is scheduled to go into production Spring 2006.
