Lil Kim isn't Happy about Her Portrayal in 'Notorious', Biggie's Mom Says, 'That is her problem'

USA Today posted a brief quote from Lil Kim, who is portrayed by Naturi Naughton in Fox Searchlight's upcoming Notorious B.I.G. biopic Notorious, saying, "The film studio and producers involved were more concerned about painting me as a 'character' to create a more interesting storyline instead of a person with talent, self-respect and who was able to achieve her own career success through hard work."
Lil' Kim (real name is Kimberly Denise Jones) certainly is a "character" in the film which I saw just yesterday and with my full review coming on Thursday I can say it isn't that bad and Biggie fans are sure to enjoy it. This also isn't the first time the convicted criminal has spoken out against the film and there is even a rumor she plans on making her own autobiographical film in the future. Kim was found guilty of conspiracy and perjury for lying to a grand jury back in March of 2005.
As for the portrayal, B.I.G.'s mother Voletta Wallace said, "This is not a Lil Kim movie. … If she's disappointed and upset, that is her problem."
The film opens on Friday, here is the trailer again if you haven't seen it yet. Oh, and don't watch any of the clips online because they are truly awful out of the context of the film.

The movie is getting okay reviews so far. But why does Lil Kim want a girl to play her that looks nothing like her, Cassie, she's half Asian. WTF?
So a plastic surgery-obsessed ex-con who got involved with a married man to boost her career isn't happy with how she's portrayed on film? Hmmm….

I mean lil kim has a right to be mad they didn't consult her about anything her character or her role. Nobody knows her and biggies relationship except her and biggie so how can they portray her character thats not right anybody would be mad about that i really dont blame her i mean she didn't get to say one word about anything they only wrote what they thought but reality is they weren't there when her and big were together so who knows wat happened with them
Well, Lil' Kim can complain all she wants but her "characteraciture" and relationship with Big was what is most compelling and most accurate about this movie. It would have been a BET movie without her. I feel like her depiction was most accurate because they didn't consult her unlike Faith and Puffy.
This coming from a woman who said the following:

I think her portrayal in the movie was pretty tame considering……
