Law Joins KING'S and Penn Just Might
Jude Law has been cast as Jack Burden in All the King's Men for Columbia Pictures and Sean Penn is currently in negotiations to play the role of Willie Stark.
The film will be based on Robert Penn Warren's novel as Law will play the narrator Jack Burden and Penn would be playing Willie Stark, the Huey Long-like politician whose rise and fall the film chronicles. The book has been adapted before into an Oscar winning picture in 1949 starring Broderick Crawford and John Ireland.
