Ratings for 'Dark Shadows', 'Snow White and the Huntsman' and more

Here are the new MPAA ratings from BULLETIN NO: 2219 and sorry, no Prometheus this week, as I know that's one folks are looking for, but we do have ratings for Tim Burton's latest venture with Johnny Depp Dark Shadows, Sundance standout For a Good Time, Call..., Hick starring Blake Lively and Chloe Moretz, the Weinstein comedy The Newest Pledge featuring Jason Mewes, Dimension's Piranha 3DD, Snow White and the Huntsman starring Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth and Dustin Lance Black's long-gestating (because it is terrible) Virginia, which used to be titled What's Wrong with Virginia. • Actually after the fan screening on saturday a PG-13 card came up. The movie is PG-13, but I don't know why. Well, I don't know their reasoning, but I do know that the movie was incredibly intense

  1. Austin G says:

Avengers and Prometheus will be next week. Kinda disappointed about the "comic violence" in the dark shadows movie

  2. SP1234 says:

Surprised about Dark Shadows. I seriously thought it would be PG, but I'm guessing the action between Depp and Green is a little too steamy for PG. The re-shoot may be causing the rating delay for Avengers, but it's surely PG-13.

  3. chriscarmichael says:

I was hoping for an R rating for Dark Shadows. Ugh. Seems like there is a serious lack of R rated films this summer.

  4. Mark says:

Prometheus better be a hard R like the other Alien movies. I can't wait for it!!! The trailer and all the viral ads were just so intense!! 2nd movie I am most excited for this year behind TDKR
