I didn't know there was a some in tru grit's rating
Also what's with the season of the witch one?
As well as tekken that coming to theaters and the rating sounds a bit hard to be PG-13
Alsdo according to the site Little fockers is PG-13
Very surprised by True Grit's PG-13. Is Paramount pushing it as a blockbuster? I was under the impression that it was closer to Oscar bait, in which case they would've given the Coens free reign over content. Is it possible that the Coens chose to shoot it pretty light, or do you think this is a studio decision?
Also surprised by Source Code, though I can see it being a minor hit with its cast, and the many, many, many large explosions. Why are they waiting so long to release it? I wish they'd started the marketing for it earlier so they could bump it up. The script was crazy good.
I knew from the outset True Grit would be PG-13. The book isn't that graphic, guys, and the Coens know well enough to respect the source material without adding unnecessary blood and gore. I'm sure the film will be plenty rough and gritty (pun intended) with a PG-13.
Now, where is the rating for TRON: Legacy? I'm curious to see if that one will be PG or PG-13….
Am I surprised at True Grit's rating? Fuck yeah, I am. That shit looks WAY to violent to be a PG-13.
Well, I'm not too surprised about True Grit's rating. The actual book does not have a lot of violence or anything like that (or at least from what i can remember from it).
My expectations for True Grit just took a nosedive. Yeah the book isn't that violent, but people do get killed, shot at, a certain character loses an appendage even. Part of what the Coens do in most of their movies include shocking violence (and realistically profane language for that matter, which will also be absent), but the violence is usually necessary. Violence is certainly necessary here, so why we'll see people getting shot and falling down bloodlessly is beyond me. If you're actually trying to improve on the original film, I think the material here demands an R rating. And given what the Coens generally show in their movies, I have a hard time believing they voluntarily tamed it down. I'd guess they had to tame it down to get a bigger budget and a wide release from Paramount. I'm extremely disappointed in this.
I'm WICKED suprised from True Grit's rating. I wanted a badass western. Oh well, still looks awesome. Drive Angry i thought was gonna be PG-13, but it has a HARD R rating!
I'm pissed at the True Grit rating. I expected hard R.
Drive Angry sounds borderline NC-17! Jesus…
Tekken sounds too violent for PG-13, and I don't know why The Town is having its extended cut rated.
Actually was expecting True Grit to be r. But it makes sense that it's pg13. I still look very forward to it
The 1969 version of True Grit got an M rating (equivalent of PG or PG-13 today) in its original release so the PG-13 is not all that surprising.
