Slow week.
broken lizards are at it again boo-yah
WHEN are they going to rate Up in the Air?
@m1: It all may be part of the marketing strategy. Let the hype continue to slowly build before they submit it to the MPAA to get rated.
@m1: It's a guaranteed R. There is no way it will get anything lower (or higher, obviously) than an R.
1) "Language throughout"?
2) All Good Things has one hell of a cast. That's going on my "keep an eye on this" list.
3) The Blind Side looks worth a watch.
4) The Slammin' Salmon? That sounds just awful.
@Bustray: It would be better to immediately give it a rating to signify its intended audience than build up buzz only to find it getting something high. Shutter Island should do this too.
@Matt: You have said that 3 times already. I GET IT!
my cuz saw it he says it like a pg-13 if they censor some stuff which they probly will but it may be an R for sex content and language
@AJ: They don't censor stuff in dramas.
@m1: Everytime you ask the damned question, I'm going to keep answering it. It is an R, unless they seriously edit some stuff, which I can almost guarantee will not happen, as Oscar Buzz films are typically rated R. I've read the script. (It's fantastic, by the way.)
Shutter Island is very likely R, too. That trailer was very dark, as is the film's plot, and Scorcese almost never goes below R.
@Matt: Fine. What will Up in the Air and Shutter Island get rated for, do you think?
my opinion up in the air R for language and sexual content
shutter island R- strong violence some disturbing images and for strong language.
@AJ: Makes sense. If Shutter Island gets a PG-13, 'thematic material' could be included for the mental institution plot (R ratings hardly get this). Was there any sexual content in the book?
medical based nudity i think@m1:
Well yah, but cloverfield had some nudity in the backround, and across the universe has tits in it, and shutter islands nudity in the book lasted shorter than that, it will be an R for Some Disturbing Violent Images, and some strong language
@Balls: Across The Universe has the artistic factor, like Titanic. I didn't even notice that in Cloverfield.
