Langella Joins 'Superman' Flick
A newspaper editor is hired.
Frank Langella has just been cast to star in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns, which is just about to begin shooting in Australia.
The film stars Brandon Routh as the Man of Steel, Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor and Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane. Also along for the ride are Parker Posey, Eva Marie Saint, James Marsden, Kal Penn and Sam Huntington.
As for Langella's character, White is the editor of the Daily Planet, the newspaper where Superman's alter ego, Clark Kent, works as a journalist. In Singer's version, White has a son named Richard, played by Marsden, who is Lois Lane's love interest.
