LaBeouf and Tamblyn Tapped for Rom-Com
The plot: A dead Texas beauty queen.
Back when Shia LeBeouf was on Project Greenlight I thought, well this movie is a disaster, but the kid seems talented. So I'm glad to see him in a starring role. As Production Weekly is reporting Amber Tamblyn and Shia Labeouf will topline the romantic love story Elvis and Annabelle, for writer/director Will Geiger. Tamblyn will play Annabelle, a beauty queen who wins the title of Miss Texas and then instantly drops dead on stage. LaBeouf plays a young Texan working at a mortuary who falls in love with Annabelle, who miraculously comes back to life on the embalming table. Production will begin later this summer.
I thought it was kind of strange to have 19 year old LaBeouf in a romantic comedy until I realized Tamblyn is only 22 herself. Dating the older women – well played Shia… well played.
