'Kung Fu Hustle 2' Confirmed
Filming to begin late this year or early 2006.

Only a couple weeks ago word came from MonkeyPeaches that Stephen Chow was moving forward with a sequel to Kung Fu Hustle and now Variety confirms the report as Chow told the trade that he'll start filming the sequel to his action film Kung Fu Hustle either late this year or early 2006.
Apparently casting is not yet finalized and Chow has not decided on a female lead, and on top of that, there was no storyline revealed, but Chow was quoted with the following:
"There will be a lot of new characters in the movie. We'll need a lot of new actors. It's possible that we'll look for people abroad besides casting locals," he said.
Kung Fu Hustle managed $17.1 million at the box-office here in the States and Chow told Variety, "I hope I can do better in the future."
