Kiefer to Star in Aja Thriller 'Mirrors'
A '24' hiatus finds Sutherland some work
Apparently Kiefer Sutherland had set some time aside to film the "24" feature film but since the script wasn't ready he had some freetime on his hands and as a result he has found work with The Hills Have Eyes writer-director Alexandre Aja. On top of directing Aja also wrote the most recent draft of the script.
The thriller is called Mirrors and Sutherland will play an ex-cop who works security at a mall and discovers something awry in the mirrors of a department store. He tries to discover the origin of the evil.
New Regency is financing the picture and 20th Century Fox will distribute. Shooting will begin May 1, mostly in Romania and once the film wraps in mid-July he will go right back to "24" in July to begin season seven.
Aja also directed the horror-thriller High Tension at Lionsgate and Sutherland last starred in The Sentinel for 20th Century Fox.
