Kidman Knows 'How to Marry a Millionaire'
I assume you just need to marry her...
Nicole Kidman is reportedly set to star in the remake of Marilyn Monroe's How to Marry a Millionaire for 20th Century Fox. Kidman will also produce the feature through her Fox-based production house Blossom Films.
There is not a completed screenplay as of yet, but Sacha Gervasi who penned The Terminal has already been tapped to start writing. The film will be a contemporary-set reinterpretation of the Monroe classic. The original, a Technicolor comedy that was released by Fox in 1953, vaulted Monroe to stardom.
In the original three women set out to find eligible millionaires to marry, but find true love in the process. There is no word on how the film will be updated, but I can only assume the actual plot won't be changing much even though the original story is said to be getting a complete overhaul. Whatever that means.
