Kevin James is 'Under Bob'
New comedy for funny man
Well Kevin James is looking to movies now as his sitcom "The King of Queens" is coming to a close and his first major film role since 2005's Hitch, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry with Adam Sandler, hits theaters this summer. Next up for James however will be his first film all to himself, One Nation Under Bob. Such a film will certainly test his staying power as a leading man or might resign him to co-starring and bit roles if it doesn't succeed.
The film was penned by John Scott Shepherd and follows an average guy who inherits a plot of land only to discover that it is a country unto itself and he is now the owner of a sovereign nation.
There is currently no director aboard, but Universal Pictures is shepherding the project.
